Fujifilm has announced four new compact cameras aimed at combining sleek design with a full specification.

The new range of cameras is divided into two categories – JX and JV – with several factors distinguishing the pair.

The JX models sport a 5x Fujinon optical zoom with 28mm wide angle, digital image stabilisation. The JV range, on the other hand, offers a 3x optical zoom ranging from 37-111mm in equivalent terms.

Within the two ranges, differing resolutions are available. The JV100 and JX200 offer 12MP sensors, while the JV150 and JX250 14MP sensors.

Both the JX and JV range of compacts offer HD video capture and a range of shooting assistance, including smile and shoot mode, targeting AF.
