The N1 is the latest addition to the Cyber-shot range, featuring an 8MP Super HAD CCD and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom.
Constructed from aluminium, the N1?s body is 22.7mm deep and incorporates a 3in LCD that can be operated by touching the screen.
Featuring 65% colour ratio, improved resolution is promised thanks to Clear Photo LCD Plus technology, featuring an anti-reflection layer designed to reduce the effect of reflections.
New features include Clear RAW NR, which is designed to reduce the effects of noise when shooting up to ISO 800 in low-light conditions.
Pocket Album can be used to store up to 500 favourite photographs, which are stored as VGA files in a separate memory and can also be viewed on a television. Slideshow with Music has four selectable styles – active, nostalgic, stylish and simple – each with background music that you can use to accompany your pictures, with the option to add your own audio.
An enhanced signal-to-noise ratio, fast start-up and improved colour reproduction are promised from Sony?s Real Imaging Processor, while the STAMINA battery can capture 300 pictures from a single charge.
Other features include PictBridge, 26MB internal memory, eight scene modes, manual exposure mode and a live histogram.
The Cyber-shot N1 will be available at the end of November. Find out more at www.sony.co.uk or by calling 08705 111999.
