Constructed from 13 elements in 11 groups, the lens contains one aspherical lens and three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass to help reduce the effect of chromatic aberration.
With dimensions of 88.5×183.6mm, the compact lens includes a rear focus system for fast Auto Focus speed and performance stability. It also enables a circular polarising filter to be attached to the static front of the lens.
