Sony’s has updated its H and T ranges, with the announcement of three new compacts.
The H3 has been targeted at those wishing to capture their children’s achievements, and sports a 10x optical zoom ahead of its 8MP sensor. Image Stabilisation comes in the form of Sony’s Super-Steadyshot optical technology while Sony?s Dynamic Range Optimizer, originally developed for the Alpha digital SLR system, determines the best exposure and tonality of an image before compressing it to JPEG format, the company claims.
Face detection also features, as does a new Advanced Sports shooting mode which uses continuous autofocusing and high shutter speed shooting, while a 2.5in LCD screen sits at the back of the unit.
Two further models are introduced into the T series, in the shape of the T70 and T200.
The T200 features an 8MP sensor and 5x optical zoom, and also boasts a 3.5in touch-screen LCD which covers the entire back surface of the camera. Super-Steady Shot technology has been employed to take care of image stabilisation, while the ISO range expands up to 3200.
The T70 follows much the same specification, but with a 3x optical zoom and 3in touch-screen LCD.
All three models will be released in September, with the latter two coming in a variety of colours. For more information visit www.sonystyle.com
