Picking up from where the SP-550UZ left off, the SP-560UZ gains a megapixel with its 8MP sensor and provides an 18x optical zoom along with Face Detection and Dual Image Stabilisation technologies. Available in October, the camera will be priced at around £350.
The budget FE range gets four new members. The FE-270 incorporates a 7MP sensor and 3x optical zoom in a slim body, with the FE-280 model adding a megapixel and featuring Olympus?s TruePic III processing engine. The FE-290, meanwhile, sports a wideangle 4x optical zoom lens together with a 3in LCD screen, while a 12MP sensor and Face Detection feature in the FE-300 model. Pricing starts at £100 for the FE-270 model and continues to £200 for the FE-300.
The mju SW range also gets an update, with the 790SW model featuring shockproof and waterproof capabilities ahead of a 7MP sensor. The mju 820 model boasts a 5x optical zoom and 2.7in HyperCrystal LCD, together with a 8MP sensor, while the mju 830 model goes a step further incorporating Dual Image Stabilisation Technology together with Face Detection. The flagship mju 1200 model tops the range, with a 12MP sensor, Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment Technology, as well as a TruePic III processor and 2.7in HyperCrystal LCD screen.
Selected models will be available from September, with the entire ranges available in October.
