The announcement of eight new E-mount lenses will take the total to 15 official Sony NEX lenses by the end of 2013.

Although details are a little sketchy, the announcement has promised the following E-mount glass over the coming years: 

 – High-magnification zoom – due 2012

 – Standard zoom – due 2012

 – Wide-angle zoom – due 2012

 – Large aperture standard (fixed focal length) lens – due 2012

 – High performance Sony G standard zoom – due 2013

 – Mid-magnification zoom – due 2013

 – Middle telephoto (fixed focal length) – due 2013

 – ‘Snap (Pancake)’ – due 2013
