Olympus has updated its popular and well-received XZ-1
The XZ-2 sports a 4x optical zoom running from 28mm at a fast f/1.8 through to a 112mm at a still fast f/2.5. The sensor’s also changed, with the XZ-2 now featuring a 1/1.7in 12.3MP backlit CMOS sensor with an ISO range up to 12,800.
There’s a customisable hybrid control ring to set-up a range of shooting controls, while there’s a 3in, 920k-dot tilt LCD screen at the rear of the camera that’s touch sensitive. On top of that, an optional electronic viewfinder can be attached via the accessory port.
Availability is still to be confirmed, but a price around £499 is expected.
