With compact dimensions of 93x59x20mm, the S5 and S6 incorporate a ?wave-surface? style, designed to provide comfort to the user.
The cameras boast 6MP CCD?s and 3x optical zoom 35-105mm zoom lenses. Both cameras also include LCDs (2.5in on the S5, and 3in on the S6) with a wide 170° viewing angle and resolution of 230,000 pixels.
The new Pictmotion feature can creates slideshows from movies and still images; the user can choose from a selection of styles and five supplied music files.
The S6 has the added advantage of Wi-Fi capability, enabling the photographer to send pictures directly from their camera to a computer.
Features common to both cameras include: In Camera Red-Eye Fix, D-Lighting, Face Priority AF and Time-lapse movie function.
A total of 15 pre-optimised scene modes feature on the cameras; four with scene assist, and both include a dedicated portrait button.
For enhanced operation, the cameras include a rotary-multi selector, which uses a circular scrolling motion to scroll through pictures at a rate of 10fps.
