Featuring an 8MP CCD, the L85 includes a 5x optical 38-190mm (35mm equivalent) Schneider Kreuznach lens and 2.5in LCD composed of 230,000 pixels.
Catering for the enthusiast and amateur photographer, the camera includes manual, aperture priority and shutter priority modes alongside 11 scene modes.
The 640×480 30fps movie mode includes a stabiliser to reduce the effect of shake, while Auto Exposure Bracketing captures a selection of pictures at different exposures. Other features include 32MB internal memory and My Set function for saving shooting modes.
Samsung is also extending its ?A? range. The A503 is a point and shoot compact with a 5MP CCD and 5x digital zoom. Eight scene modes feature on the camera including: Fireworks, Beach/snow and Dawn. It also includes a 2in LCD, VGA movie capture and 24Mb internal memory.
A sleek compact with a 5MP CCD and 3x optical zoom, the Digimax L60 includes 11 scene modes and a selection of colour and in-camera effects that can be applied to images. MPEG-4 640×480 VGA movies can be shot at a rate of 30fps, and the camera includes a movie stabiliser and in-camera editing function. For easy close-up shooting Auto Macro automatically adjusts the focus from 5cm. The L60 also includes 32MB internal memory and 2.4in LCD.
