Fujifilm has updated the reported specifications of its upcoming compact release, the FinePix F20. Billed as the ?little brother? to the TIPA award-winning FinePix F30 Zoom, the F20 refines the body shape of its bigger brother but features the same sixth generation Super CCD HR sensor and Real Photo Processor II technology of the F30.
Fujifilm hopes that the 6.3MP camera will reflect its commitment to producing high sensitivity digital cameras that work in low light. With this in mind, Fujifilm has lavished its latest arrival with the compay?s Real Photo Technology, which enables ISO sensitivities of up to 1600 and above at full resolution.
The camera also features Fujifilm?s Intelligent Flash system, which automatically sets the flash power output to produce balanced images that combine foreground illumination with background exposure. In addition, the FinePix F20?s ?Natural Light & Flash? Dual Shot mode takes two shots in quick succession, one with flash and one without, before displaying them side by side for instant comparison.
When the F20 was first announced at the beginning of July, Fujifilm Japan promised specifications including shutter and aperture priority modes, a compatible underwater housing unit and strobe kit. The manufacturer today stated the F20 does not, in fact, offer these particular specifications and accessories.
The FinePix F20 will be available in the UK this September. Pricing and stockists will be announced nearer to the date of retail launch.
