Pentax has launched two budget models in the form of the Optio H90 and E90. Both are light on frivolous features, instead concentrating on delivering the absolute basics for a low price.
The E90 is a 10MP, 3x zoom compact offering the likes of Face Detection and Smile shutter and is powered by AA batteries. The H90 is similarly basic, with a 5x zoom and HD video being the two standout extras. Although both models provide the bear minimum expected of a digital camera in the current climate, the fact that the E90 has an RRP of £79.99 and the H90 is at £129.99 means those after a cheap holiday camera for the summer need look no further.
