Review: In Basics Photography: Post- Production Colour, Steve Macleod makes the tricky look attainable. The book is laid out fairly well, and the writing style is easy on the eye and the brain. Far from over-complicating the issue, as can so often be the case, this book encourages the reader to learn more about the subject – simply adjusting Levels, and the slight Cropping of images, can make all the difference. And the fact that it is not strewn with overly dramatic images, but fairly attainable shots, at the beginning anyway, makes it more accessible to the amateur wanting to make their way up the post-production technique ladder. This book also covers post-production in film, and there’s lots of detail on advanced post-production techniques, as well as websites and how to exhibit and present your work for sale. 88%
