The MM9170 really shows how monopod design can be different. This has a movable tip on the front using a ball and socket head with a rubber foot, so you can change the angle of the monopod without compromising stability. It extends over four sections from 48cm to 158cm. Each leg is locked using screw type releases rather than the locks on the other units. This is slightly slower, but makes the unit more ergonomic. It also comes with a bag.
