Focusing entirely on digital photography, the book takes an in-depth look at Photoshop techniques. Little is said about shooting technique; the book seems to assume the reader can take the photo in the first place. Layout is confusing and the photography is poor, with only one or two noteworthy pictures. Anyone wanting to learn about child and family portraiture should look elsewhere.
