Olympus E-PL7 Review – Verdict

Olympus has managed to achieve quite an impressive feat with the E-PL7, namely taking a lot of the functionality from the enthusiast OM-D range and package it up for the more consumer end of the market.
The design of the camera is solid, while the specification is also certainly reasonable enough for the target market.
There are definitely issues with the camera, and most noticeably those around the camera’s LCD screen configuration aimed at the ‘selfie’ market and the fact that in trying to make the camera as small as possible certain sacrifices have been made with regards to the handling.

That being said, there’s no denying the fact that the E-PL7 delivers what it aims to achieve, namely it’s a pocketable CSC capable of good image quality and with a specification which places it well in the consumer CSC market.
