Fujifilm X-T10 Review – Image Quality
As you might expect for a camera that utilised the same sensor and processor as the X-T1, and version other recent Fujifilm models for that factor, the X-T10 is fairly dependable with regards to image quality, delivering excellent results especially with regards to JPEG images.
Colour
The X-T10’s auto white balance is generally reliable, although there is a slight tendency to err to the cool side of the spectrum in the occasional frame. The colour rendition on the whole is also pleasing, while there is a range of different film simulation colour settings on hand to improve images.
Resolution
Thanks to the camera’s 16MP resolution, the X-T10 is capable of resolving a large amount of detail at the lowest ISO settings. What’s pleasing is that the amount of detail captured is generally maintained as you progress up through the ISO settings, even up towards the higher end of the scale.
Noise
At the very lowest ISO settings images are almost noise free, and this performance is solidly maintained right up to ISO 1600. At that point shadow detail rendition does begin to fall off, although it’s safe to say you’re able to shoot quite happily up to ISO 6400 with few worries over a loss of detail or amount of image noise.
