Transcend has announced their first 64GB class 10 SDXC card. The ultra-quick transfer speeds should allow up to 25MB/s, making the likes of Raw shooting and HD movie recording far quicker to store and backup onto a computer.
With more of the current raft of hybrid and DSLR cameras opting for SD larger capacities will be required, especially as the megapixel ratings increase. For SDXC compatible cameras, such as the Sony NEX-5, this should have more benefits than purely increased capacity.
