HSBC has teamed-up with the Third Age Trust to launch a new photography competition for members of the University For The Third Age.
The competition hopes to capture the changing views of retirement in the UK. Submissions are invited from across the UK based around the theme, ?What Retirement Means to Me?. The competition celebrates the positive approach to later years that HSBC revealed in its Future of Retirement study. Conducted in 2005 the study showed that people no longer see retirement as a time for rest and relaxation, but rather as an opportunity to reinvent themselves and to pursue a whole new chapter of life.
Prizes include a two to three day residential photographic course up to a value of £450, plus £100 spending money. The closing date for competition entries is 31 October 2006. For more information on the competition, including a full list of the rules log on to www.u3a.org.uk
