Sony Ericsson has confirmed the title and specification of its forthcoming 12.1MP cameraphone.

The model, first announced in February and codenamed ‘Idou’, is set for release in early Q4 and will be labelled the Satio.

With imaging at its core, the Satio will feature a 12.1MP sensor, Xenon flash and both face and smile detection. The cameraphone will also boast image stabilisation and offer the ability to Geotag you images and post them directly to the web.

What’s more, the Satio features a 3.5in LCD screen designed in 16:9 widescreen format.
