Sony has introduced a slimline addition to its Cyber-shot range featuring a 3x optical Carl Zeiss lens and 5MP Super HAD CCD.
By incorporating a folded path lens system that doesn?t protrude from the camera body, the DSC-T5 has a slim body 15.3mm deep.
Constructed from aluminium, images can be viewed on the 2.5-inch Hybrid Clear LCD screen that Sony claim works effectively even in bright sunlight. 10 scene modes feature on the camera including Twilight, Fireworks and Beach, while the Magnifying Glass mode enables the camera to focus on objects 1cm away.
The Real Imaging Processor promises fast response times and Sony has significantly improved the cameras battery capacity; it can now capture 240 shots from a single charge, which is 33 per cent better then the T33 and T3, another improvement is to the internal flash range, which is 2.5m ? an increase of 1m on its predecessor the T33.
The T5 has the capacity to capture MPEG movie clips and is compatible with the PictBridge standard, pictures can be stored on a Memory Stick Duo (not supplied) and includes 32Mb internal memory.
Available in matte black and brushed aluminium, the T5 will be available in September for around £280. Find out more at www.sony.co.uk or call 08705 111999
