Sigma has announced the latest addition to its burgeoning lens repertoire in the shape of the snappily titled Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM .

The lens features four Special Low Dispersion glass elements and three aspherical lens elements, a combination that Sigma claims helps combat aberrations. The lens also features optical stabilisation, with the 18-250mm focal range converting to approximately 13.9x in equivalent terms.

The 18-250mm DC OS HSM is designed for use with APS-C/DX format sensors, is expected on shelves this March, and will be available for Sigma, Nikon, Canon, Penax and Sony mounts.
