19mm F2.8 and 30mm F2.8 compact system camera models feature

Sigma has announced a trio of new lenses, including a 19mm F2.8 and 30mm F2.8 model designed for use with compact system cameras. The third of the new lenses is the APO Macro 180mm F2.8, a lens which is the world’s first 180mm macro lens with 1:1 magnification ratio and maximum aperture of F2.8.

The 19mm F2.8 EX DN and 30mm F2.8 EX DN mark Sigma’s first foray in to third party compact system camera optics. The lenses both benefit from Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating for reduced flare and ghosting, while a newly developed liner AF motor also features. The pair will be available in two fits – the Micro Four Thirds mount and Sony’s E Mount.

Sigma’s other new lens, the APO Macro 180mm F2.8 EX APO DG OS HSM, is the first lens of its kind. It features three ‘F’ Low Dispersion glass elements for correction of colour aberrations, Sigma’s floating inner focus system and Super Multi-Layer coating for reduced flare and ghosting.

There’s no news on pricing and availability as yet, so stay tuned to the Sigma website for more information.
