Sigma has announced a pair of new telephoto zoom lenses.

The first lens ? APO 50-150mm F2.8 II EX DC HSM ? has been designed exclusively for APS-C sized sensors. It features four Super Low Dispersion elements and boasts a constant aperture of f/2.8, while super multi layer lens coatings are said to help reduce flare and ghosting, also ensuring sharp images throughout the entire zoom range. The lens incorporates a Hypersonic Motor (HSM), allowing for ?quiet and high-speed autofocusing?, with the option of manual focus override for precision focusing. Focusing itself may be done from a minimum distance of 100cm, and thanks to internal focusing and zooming, the lens?s length does not change in use, allowing for the use of polarising filters.

The second lens ? APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM ? is targeted at full frame users, and incorporates two SLD and three Extra Low Dispersion (ELD) elements. As with the 50-150mm lens, the lens features a HSM motor, rear and internal focusing and a minimum focusing distance of 100cm. A removable tripod collar is also included with the lens.

In addition, the use of Sigma?s two teleconverters is also possible with both lenses.
