Sigma has announced its latest lens, boasting a range of Sigma technologies.

The 17-70MM F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM, to give it its full title, features three aspherical lenses and one ELD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass element that provide correction for all types of aberrations.

As the title suggests, the new 17-70mm features optical stabilisation technology, as well as a Hyper Sonic Motor for quiet and high-speed auto focus.

The 17-70mm is available in either Sigma, Canon, Nikon, Pentax or Sony mount, and carry an SRP of £399.99. Expect to see the 17-70mm on shelves from January next year. For more information, visit Sigma online
