Sigma has introduced an ultra-telephoto zoom lens, designed for use with digital SLRs.
It is constructed from 13 elements in 11 groups; three Special Low Dispersion elements and aspherical lens to reduce the effect of chromatic aberration. Flare and ghosting are limited by the multi-layer coating, which is designed to create optimum colour balance. With a maximum magnification of 1:6.6, the lens includes a rear focus system for fast auto focusing.
Retailing for £629.99, the Sigma 170-500mm f/5-6.3 APO DG lens is compatible with Sigma AF, Canon AF, Nikon AF, Konica Minolta AF and Pentax AF mounts.
