Samsung has announced the latest addition to its NX range, in the shape of the Samsung NX2000. The new model follows hot on the heels of the Samsung NX300 and shares a lot of the model’s features and specification.

At the core of the Samsung NX2000 sits the model’s 20.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor, the very same found on the Samsung NX300, while the model also features the DRIMe IV imaging engine to combat noise and improve operational speed.

This DRIMe IV imaging engine promises much the same performance as the NX300, and this includes a headline continuous shooting rate of 8fps. The NX2000 also inherits a host of the NX300’s connectivity features, including Wi-fi connectivity and Near Field Communication technology, the latter of which allows for wireless transfer between the camera and any other NFC-enabled device.

One area of development for the NX2000 in comparison to the NX300 is on the rear of the camera. The NX2000 now features a large 3.7in WVGA touch screen fixed to the rear of the camera, complete with an impressive 1,152k-dot resolution. This ample touch screen provides direct access to a host of the camera’s functionality through its intuitive touch interface.
