Spymedia.com is a new website that professional and amateur photographers can use to buy and sell their digital pictures.
Described as ?the first automated news photo marketplace,? the website contains a database with thousands of photographs in categories such as: History, Natural Disasters, News and Entertainment. Members of the public and news organisations can then browse the site and buy any photographs.
Once registered, you can upload pictures from a digital camera or camera phone, along with a description and price. Spy Media takes 35% of the sale price.
Bryan T Quinn from Spy Media comments: ?News organisations have long benefited from citizens contributing their personal photos and stories for free. The power is now shifting into the hands of the consumer who can snap and sell photos to an international audience within minutes.?
Spy Media has a range of rights agreements and upload prices, including $100 (around £57) for 100 uploads or $1 (58p) for a single photo. To find out more, visit www.spymedia.com.
