New Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX80 camera boasts impressive features and aesthetics
With a 24-120mm 5x optical zoom, and an aperture of f/2.5, the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX80 is a slimline compact camera with a number of impressive features. The lens is optically stabilised using the MEGA O.I.S system apparent in the majority of Panasonic’s Lumix compact cameras.
The FX80’s 12MP sensor has the ability to shoot 1080p HD movies alongside a number of effects housed within the Creative Control mode. The 3in LCD screen is touch-sensitive, allowing for access to the majority of the camera’s significant controls including focus and shutter release.
The body of the FX80 is simplicity itself, with few buttons littering the body – the obvious focus here is for the LCD screen to be used as the main control method.
The price and release date of the FX80 has yet to be confirmed, for more information head to Panasonic’s website.
