48GB and 64GB models launched

Panasonic has announced the first two models in its new range of high capacity SDXC memory cards.

SDXC memory cards are the next generation of small-scale high-capacity storage, with the potential to offer up to 2 terabytes of data storage.

Panasonic claim that the larger of the two cards – the 64GB version – can store up to 8 hours and 30 minutes of 1920 x 1080p.

The new cards arrive in Panasonic’s GOLD range of memory cards, and boast a maximum data transfer speed of up to 22MB/s. The cards also adopt Panasonic’s newly-developed Super Intelligent Controller, a technology that helps prevent data corrupting through errors such as power interruption.
