Panasonic has announced two new additions to its FS range – little sister to the all-conquering FX series – in the shape of the FS6 and FS7.

The new models boast almost identical specifications bar their resolution, with the FS6 boasting just 8MP compared to the FS7’s 10MP, and LCD size, 2.7in for the FS7, 2.5in for the FS6.

The pair both sport a 4x optical zoom (33mm to 132mm in equivalent terms) and are fuelled by the power of Panasonic’s latest Venus Engine IV which the company claims can cut shutter speeds down to just 0.007 seconds.

Both the models sport Panasonics Intelligent Auto and are available in a range of colours – silver, black and pink for the FS7, and silver, black, pink, red and blue for the FS6. Expect to see the models on the shelves from the start of February.
