Nikon has announced the production of it’s NIKKOR lenses reached a total of fifty million units last month.

Nikon’s first NIKKOR lens, the NIKKOR-S Auto 5cm f/2, was released some fifty years ago in 1959 in conjunction with the Nikon F SLR.

Since it’s inception, the NIKKOR lens line-up have grown to its current count of over sixty different models, from fisheye to super wide-angle, super telephoto and micro lenses
