Minox has announced a ‘miniature masterpiece’ in the shape of the DCC 5.1.

The camera – a ‘tribute to classic, legendary design’ according to Minox – features the specification of a conventional compact camera in a body a third of the size.

The DCC 5.1 offers a 5.1MP sensor and a rear-filling 2in display. As with normal Minnox cameras, the DCC 5.1 sports an additional optical viewfinder for framing images.

Design is important with the DCC 5.1, with small aspects such as a chrome-plated bass lens cap completing the feel of this fifties throwback. Optional accessories include both a teleconvertor and wide-angle convertor, as well as a Classic Camera flashgun.
