Lexmark is to add to its value printer line-up with three new models. The X5470, Z845 and P350 represent updates to three key product areas, all-in-one, single function inkjet and portable photo printers ? and will each cost less than £100.
The compact X5470 (£99.99) is an all-in-one with fax and photo capabilities. The model boasts black print speeds up to 25ppm and 18ppm in colour. A 10-sheet automatic document feeder, photo features and PC-free photo, fax and copy are all additional key features.
The all-in-one is equipped with Lexmark?s Fast Pics and Imaging Studio Software for enhancing, printing and managing photos. Users can also create borderless 4×6 inch photos via memory cards or PictBridge cameras, or work directly from a memory card to print a photo proof sheet. For those seeking higher-quality results, the X5470 can create six-colour photos at resolutions up to 4,800 x 1,200dpi on photo paper with an optional photo cartridge.
The Z845, meanwhile, is billed as a ?High Performance Colour Printer?, offering single-function inkjet printing at a price point of less than £60.
Designed for budget-conscious consumers, the printer delivers speeds up to 24ppm black and 18ppm colour. It features borderless graphic and photo printing, a 2.4inch LCD screen as well as an optional colour cartridge that provides six-colour printing capabilities.
Lexmark?s final new release comes in the diminutive shape of the P350 Portable Photo Printer (£99). The model features new Evercolor II ink technology, and PerfectFinish Photo Paper as part of a new Lexmark photo printing system which can output 4×6 4,800 x 1,200dpi borderless photos in as little as 75 seconds.
Evercolor II is a pigment-based ink system that is designed to be used with Lexmark’s new PerfectFinish Photo Paper, a micro-porous paper that claims to absorb inks more quickly. Lexmark says that compared with conventional dye-based inks, the Evercolor II pigmented inks dry more quickly and are highly resistant to water.
Using the P350 consumers can print directly from memory cards, PictBridge compatible digital cameras, a USB flash drive or, with the purchase of an optional adapter, from a Bluetooth technology cell phone.
All new models will hit stores this month. Visit www.lexmark.co.uk for full details.
