Kenko has announced the International Filter Competition, inviting entries from around the world and boasting a total prize fund of nearly £25,000.

The Kenko group – comprising of Kenko, Slik tripods and Hoya filters – are inviting entries that best portray effective use of filters. Entries can be taken on either digital or film cameras, with the only requisite being that the image must display the use of a filter.

First prize will walk away with 500,000 yen (approx. £4,000) of Kenko group products, with eight selected winners scooping 100,000 yen (approx. £800) worth of Kenko swag. A further 130 winners will be selected to shore the remaining prize fund.
