Fujifilm has updated its compact ranges, with many new products as well as introducing a new range targeted at the entry-level market.
The S100FS is billed as the company?s flagship compact and the ?most advanced SLR styled camera to date?. It boasts an 11MP sensor and Fujifilm?s RP III processor, also managing to squeeze in a 14.3x zoom (28-400mm equivalent) and a 2.5in tilting LCD screen.
The camera also boasts dual image stabilisation technology, featuring lens-based stabilisation and the company?s Picture Stabilisation technology, while the camera?s sensitivity stretches to ISO 6400 in 6MP and ISO 10,000 in 3MP capture.
Other features of note stem from Fujifilm?s S5 Pro model released last year. These include a Film Simulation mode and an expanded dynamic range, with Face Detection 2.0 and red-eye removal technologies also present.
Fujifilm?s S range sees two new models, with the S8100fd updating last year?s S8000fd and the S1000fd claimed to be the world?s smallest camera with a 12x optical zoom.
The S8100fd features similar specifications its predecessor, but ups the megapixel count to 10 and extends the sensitivity range up to 6400, in 3MP capture. The same 18x optical zoom lens (27mm-486mm equivalent) remains, but a new high-speed shooting option allows 13.5 fps capture at 3MP and 6.8fps at 5MP.
The S1000fd, meanwhile, offers a 12x optical zoom alongside a 10MP sensor, and sports a 2.7in LCD screen on the rear. A new Panorama shooting mode also makes an appearance, as does the Face Detection 2.0 and Red-Eye Removal technologies mentioned previously.
