It is available in capacities of 256Mb, 512Mb and 1Gb at 60x and 133x at 512Mb and 1Gb, the latter able to withstand temperatures ranging from ?25 – +85 degrees and offering transfer speeds of 20Mb/sec.
MMCplus replaces the traditional MultiMedia card format and can be used in devices that are compatible with that format. Capacities of 128Mb and 1Gb are currently available.
Digital cameras, PDAs and mobile phones will be able to use MMCmobile memory cards and Mini SecureDigital, which are available in capacities up to 1Gb. The MMCmobile cards supplant RS-MMC cards; a dual-voltage of 1.8 and 3.3v enables them to work in all mobile handsets, while supplied with the cards is an adaptor enabling them to be used in active MultiMedia card slots.
