Version 2.0.3 adds 24 and 25fps HD Movie recordingrn

Canon has today pre-announced the latest firmware update for its popular EOS 5D Mark II DSLR.

The latest firmware update, version 2.0.3, improves on the 5D Mark II video capture functionality by adding to option to record at 24 and 25 frames per second.

The new capture settings on the 5D Mark II are offered at a pair of resolutions – the new 24fps shooting mode captures 1080p Full HD footage, while 25fps supports both 1920×1080 and 640×480 resolutions.

A variety of other functionality is set to be added, such as a new histogram display for shooting movies in manual exposure, shutter priority or aperture priority mode.
