Free download available from Adobe Labs
Adobe has announced the immediate availability of the Photoshop Lightroom 4 Public Beta. The software, which is available as a free public download from Adobe Labs, serves as a preview of the new features and capabilities which will be offered in the final version of Lightroom 4 due later this year.
Amongst the new features included in the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 Public Beta is refined technology for superior shadow and highlight processing, improved DSLR video support and the ability to create photobooks from within Lightroom.
Lightroom 4 Beta features all new basic tonal adjustments which extract the entire dynamic range from cameras for ‘stunning shadow details and highlights’, according to Adobe. The video enhancements mean that Lightroom 4 now features native video support, giving photographers the ability to edit video in Lightroom using many of Lightroom’s image editing tools.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 beta is available now as a free download, for both Windows and Mac, from the Adobe Labs website.
