Panasonic Lumix GM5 Review – Verdict
When you consider the compact size of the GM5, it’s unsurprising that certain compromises have been made.
For example, the camera does away with NFC connectivity while the smaller battery means the battery life itself takes a hit.
Then there’s the camera’s general handling, which is impacted upon negatively by the small and poor button placement.
However, what Panasonic has managed to achieve with the GM5 is certainly impressive. Considering the camera is not much larger than a pack of cards it’s welcome that it manages to pack in a four-thirds sensor.
It’s also welcome that the camera manages to cram in an EVF, albeit if it’s not the best on the market.
So, if you’re happy to make these compromises and compactness is the most important thing for you there are few cameras to compete with the model.
