Leica Q (Typ 116) Review – Verdict

Leica Q product shot 3

The Leica Q could well represent something of a seachange in terms of the manufacturer’s approach to digital cameras. Previously they had seemed to be catering explicitly to Leica enthusiasts, however the Leica Q features a wide range of consumer-friendly additions that are bound to please a wider audience. These include the excellent EVF, ample touchscreen and Wi-fi connectivity.

There’s no denying that the Leica Q is a compact with a premium price tag, however when you compare it with its nearest rival – the Sony RX1 – it’s around the same price, and perhaps cheaper when you consider it features an EVF and its rival does not.
