Canon PowerShot G7 X Review – Verdict
The Canon G7 X is best described as some welcome competition for the all-conquering Sony RX100 range, which up until now had stood alone as a pocketable advanced compact with an impressive 1in sensor.
When putting the G7 X up against the latest RX100 model – RX100 III – you’ll notice that the former has something the latter is lacking, namely with the larger focal length.
The RX100 III, however, features an eye-catching pop-up EVF which will certainly appeal to some.
One of the most important features of the G7 X is it’s price, and at £579 at launch it’s cheaper than both the RX100 III and the Panasonic LX100. When you consider how closely aligned the models are that could be the deciding factor for some.
