Sigma has announced two new fisheye lenses in their DC range, designed exclusively for APS-C sized sensors.
Both lenses feature a Hypersonic Motor and fall under their EX ? Excellent ? designation, making for ?superior build and optical quality, and to enhance their appearance?, according to the company.
The EX DC 4.5mm Circular Fisheye HSM lens gives a 180° angle of view on an APS-C sized sensor, and boasts a maximum aperture of f/2.8. Super Low Dispersion (SLD) glass also features, while a minimum focusing distance of 13.5mm and 1:6 magnification factor makes it ?ideal for close-up photography?.
The second lens ? the 10mm f/2.8 EX DC Fisheye HSM ? also features a 180° angle of view, but only when mounted with a Nikon DX format sensor. When used on Canon and Sigma DSLR bodies, the angle of view offered is reduced to 167° and 154° respectively. The Super Multi-Layer Coating is said to ?minimizes flare and ghosting? while a magnification factor of 1:3.3 also makes it suitable for close-up photography.
