Entries invited to recreate Two Ways of Life masterpiece
The Royal Photographic Society has announced a competition inviting entries to create a modern version of Rejlander’s ‘Two Ways of Life’ masterpiece, to mark a forthcoming lecture and workshop series.
The original, first exhibited in 1857, combined 32 separate negatives to compose one image, one which Rejlander claimed juxtaposed a life of debauchery and piety.
First prize is £500 and a year’s free membership of the society, with a closing date of 30th April 2009. Visit the RPS website for an application form and for more information.
