Rugged camera pair launched
Pentax has released a pair of additions to its outdoor range, in the shape of the Optio WG1 and WG1 GPS. Both models sport similar specification with the sole difference, as the title suggests, being that the WG1 GPS offers GPS functionality. The pair offer a 14MP sensor, wide-angle 5x optical zoom and 2.7in LCD screen. Both also feature HD video capture, but the main sell of the pair is their life-proof capabilities.
Both the WG1 and WG1 GPS are shockproof from a drop of 1.5m, can withstand a weight of 100kg, can endure temperatures of -10C and are waterproof to a depth of some 10 metres.
Pentax states that the WG1 has an RRP of £269, with the WG1 GPS’s RRP listed as £299. Both models will be in store by 17th March, and for more information visit Pentax online.
