Nikon have kicked off summer with a range of customer care enhancements in the shape of free software, extended warranties and cashback offers.

The first is a two-year warranty offer on all camera bodies, including both Nikons Coolpix compact and DSLR ranges. The warranty is due to commence from 1st September 2007 and is valid on all purchases made on or after 1st July. Customers simply have to register their product online, by visiting www.nikon.co.uk/register.

The second announcement is a new summer cashback promotion for customers wishing to purchase the Nikon Coolpix S500 model. Customers purchasing the camera between 13th July and 30th July 2007 can claim £50 (UK) or ?75 (Eire) by completing and sending a promotional voucher due to appear in national press, along with a receipt and sheet B of the Coolpix S500 warranty slip to:

Finally, the company are extending their Capture NX offer to 3rd August 2007. Customers purchasing the D200 DSLR are eligible to claim a free copy of the software, worth £119.99.
