AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR specifically developed to cater for users of entry-level DSLRs.
Nikon has today announced the latest addition to its Nikkor family, in the shape of the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR.
Designed specifically to cater for users of entry-level DSLRs, the new lens covers a popular focal length whilst incorporating several professional-grade features.
Nikon?s own VR (Vibration Reduction) makes an appearance on the Nikkor 18-55mm, minimising blur caused by camera shake and stabilising the image in such a manner as to allow shutter speeds of up to three stops slower than would be possible without VR (as determined in Nikon tests).
Nikon has also introduced a Silent Wave Motor (SWM) to the lens, delivering fast and quiet autofocus operation and rich, out-of-focus backgrounds thanks to the rounded seven-blade diaphragm opening.
Expect to see the Nikkor 18-55mm VR in stores from the end of November with a SRP of £179.99. For more information on the lens and for a full specification, visit www.europe-nikon.com.
