HP?s Snapfish is the first online photo storing and printing service to announce support for digital video.
As well as sharing and printing digital photographs, users of Snapfish will now be able to transfer video from digital cameras and camera phones onto the website, which they can view and share with family and friends.
The service is easy to use; users simply email video (up to 10 minutes in length) to save@mysnapfish.co.uk. Technology on the site converts video files to a common format that can be played through the majority of browsers without the need for a plug-in or download.
According to research from InfoTrends, 23% of digital camera users already email video clips to family and friends. Ben Nelson from Snapfish comments: ?Until now there has not been an easy way to manage and share home videos? we?re expanding beyond photos and moving towards our vision of helping consumers enjoy, preserve and share their memories.?
Customers can take advantage of a free one-month trial of the home-movie service, which typically costs £1.99 a month or £15.99 a year for unlimited sharing, viewing and storing of video clips. Find out more at www.snapfish.co.uk
