Fujifilm has introduced the first 9MP digital compact to its FinePix range, the E900.
The latest member of Fujifilm?s ?E? range features a Super CCD HR sensor with an effective resolution of 9MP, capable of capturing images 3,488 x 2,616 pixels in size. The E900 features a 4x optical Fujinon lens with a focal length equivalent to 32-128mm in a 35mm camera. In common with several new FinePix compacts, it incorporates a wide sensitivity range of 80-800.
Featuring a full range of exposure modes (Manual, Program, Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority) as well as pre-set scene modes, the E900 promises a fast start-up time of 1.3-seconds. Sharp picture quality and minimal noise is promised thanks to Fuji?s Real Life Photo Technology, while a new Highlight warning within the histogram indicates when a photo is in danger of becoming overexposed.
Other features include 30fps VGA movie mode, RAW capture and a 2in LCD screen.
