Epson has launched two new slim line A4 scanners, dubbed the Perfection V100 and V350 Photo. Designed to meet the needs of photo enthusiasts, both models incorporate Epson?s unique Matrix CCD technology into a new slim design. A modern silver finish has also been added to ensure they look stylish on the desktops of consumers.
Epson has incorporated several new features into both new models. Each includes a portrait and landscape scanning option, so users can choose which way to use the scanner. A new hinge design means the lid can be lifted to 90º or 180º for scanning books and thicker objects up to 25mm in depth.
Bundled Epson Easy Photo Fix software offers features such as automatic colour restoration for faded photos and Epson?s new Digital Dust Correction technology. It also includes a new back light correction feature that automatically enhances and corrects brightness, sharpness, colour saturation and colour balance.
The V100 Photo features 3200 x 9600dpi optical resolution for scanning documents, photos and film. A built-in transparency adapter can scan 35mm film strips (up to six frames per strip) or four 35mm mounted slides for added versatility. This film holder, which has a higher capacity than the scanner?s predecessor, allows a greater number of images to be batch-scanned.
Meanwhile the V350 Photo has a superior resolution of 4800 x 9600dpi. It also includes an Epson?s unique Automatic Film Loader and offers the ability to scan a film strip of six 35mm frames at one time.
Mark Robinson Product Manager, Epson UK Ltd. says, ?The latest line-up in our entry level range offer the same superb quality output with ease of use and a compact design to ensure home users can easily digitise their photos and film. Both new scanners offer fantastic value and functionality and reflect Epson?s commitment to bringing innovative products to consumers.?
Both the V100 and V350 will hit stores on the 1st September, priced £69.99 and £99.99 respectively. More information is available at www.epson.co.uk
