Following on from their EOS 1D Mark III model announced earlier in the year, Canon has announced a full-frame sibling in the shape of the EOS 1Ds Mark III.
Boasting a 21 megapixel CMOS sensor, the camera inherits much from the 1D model with its 3in LCD screen, live-view mode and Dual DIGIC III imaging processors. A 5fps burst rate shoots for up to 56 JPEG frames, and 12 Raw frames, while the viewfinder has been redesigned to be even brighter and wider.
A Highlight Tone priority features, helping the camera to achieve an expanded dynamic range, while a 63-zone exposure metering system aids accurate metering. An autofocus system with 19 cross type sensors and 26 focus assist points features while Canon?s Integrated Cleaning technology, first seen on the EOS 400D model, helps to eradicate dust adhering to the sensor.
